Culture is that complex whole which includes knowledge, belief, art, morals, law, custom and any other capabilities and habits acquired by man as a member of society_ E. B. Taylor. Gone are the days when the education was confined only to academic programmes and student’s attention was focused only on these programmes. However, with changing trend the students have started taking part in co-curricular activities for channelizing their hidden abilities.
Since the aim of education is to foster all round development of students that covers their physical, moral, intellectual and social development. In order to realize this aim and fulfill the needs of our students to develop their personality, the college provides various cultural activities whereby the students of our college take part to channelize their capabilities and expressions. The aesthetic, moral and social development like character building, spiritual and moral values, art and creativity are fostered through the conduct of these cultural activities. By taking part in these cultural activities the students grow physically, mentally, morally and socially. The students express themselves by taking part in cultural activities like debates, seminars, paintings, dramas, musical programmes and other competitions that the college conducts. The Debate and Cultural Activities Committee organised Seerat Un Nabi (Saw) Conference on 1st 0ct. 2015 on the topic “Establishing World Peace and Justice in light of the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (saw)” in which a good number students participated enthusiastically, the distinguished invited guests, faculty and the rest of students attended the daylong conference.
