About

Environmental Science is a highly interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary subject area and is presently a thrust area as per the national and international mandate. The Department of Environmental Science, GDC Beerwah is presently offering Value Added Course in Environmental Science and Multidisciplinary Course in Environmental Science to the Undergraduate students. Proposals have been submitted under RUSA sheme of the UGC for upgradation of the department and establishing a fully functional laboratory. In future the department is going to offer the major and minor courses as per NEP 2020.

• To make the students environmentally conscious and aware citizens.
• To educate the students about the structure and functions of different ecosystems and the biosphere at large.
• To create awareness among students about the environmental problems and their solutions.
• To make students versed with the concepts related to sustainable development.
• To educate students on the ways and methods of creating a sustainable world for environmental sustenance.
