  • Starting/Augmenting of Gandhian Gallery in College

    Under the banner of Gandhi Jayanti, the Debates and Seminar Committee in collaboration with College Library organized an event titled, “Starting/Augmenting of Gandhian gallery in College” on 30-09-2023. The event was participated by Faculty members and a number of students of the college


  • NDLI: Registration and Importance for College Students

    • To create awareness among the college students and faculty about the National Digital Library of India (NDLI) • To facilitate registration for NDLI accounts • To introduce the vast repository of learning resources available on NDLI


  • Visit to Public Library

    The Debates and Seminar Committee in collaboration with Library of the college organized a visit to public library having dedicated section to Mahtma Gandhi on 18-09-2023.


  • Seminar on, "Gandhian philosophy" by department of education.

    Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated yearly on 2 October. It is a national holiday, observed in all of its states and territories of the Union Of India. Gandhi Jayanti is marked by prayer services and tributes all over India, including at Gandhis memorial, Raj Ghat, in New Delhi where he was cremated.


  • Digital J&K Week 2023

    We are thrilled to announce the upcoming "Digital J&K Week 2023," a week-long event dedicated to celebrating the strides made in the field of digital transformation and innovation in Jammu & Kashmir. This event is organized by Department of Computer Sciences in collaboration with NSS Wing of the College and is scheduled to take place from August 31st to September 6th, 2023, at Government Degree College Beerwah.


  • “Career Counselling Cum Registeration Session in collaboration with the DE&CC-Budgam”.

    The Government is making efforts to provide the various opportunities to the eligible masses for employment in private sector through different ventures on timely bases. In this backdrop District employment & counselling center Budgam communicated (DE&CC-Budgam), Vide: Ref. No. DE&CC/Bud/CC/312/320, dated: 31/07/2023. GDC-Beerwah conducted, “Career Counselling Cum Registeration Session in collaboration with the DE&CC-Budgam”. Collaboration-Education department, Career Counselling GDC-Beerwah.


  • Community Awareness Programme

    The NSS Volunteers of GDC Beerwah organized a Survey cum Anti-Drug Awareness Program, which witnessed active participation from both faculty members and NSS volunteers. Throughout the day, the participants engaged wholeheartedly in this impactful initiative.


  • Social Outreach Programme

    Under the initiative of Community Outreach Programme, NSS Unit of GDC Beerwah visited Ringzabaj and Khurain a nomadic village in the Arisal Block of Budgam District


  • Celebration of National Technology Day 2023

    The Department of Computer Sciences in Collaboration with NSS Wing of the College is organizing a function to celebrate National Technology Day 2023 under the G20 banner. The event is scheduled on 11/05/2023 at 10:30 am in the Computer Science Department. The theme for the year 2023 is "School to Startups - Igniting Young Minds to Innovate."


  • Two Days National Conference on Social Protection for an Inclusive Development

    Join the National Level Conference on Social Protection for an Inclusive Development, organized by the Department of Social Work, GDC Beerwah in collaboration with ICSSR North Western-Regional Centre. The conference aims to explore the implementation and implications of social protection policies in India, and their role in reducing poverty and promoting economic and social development.


  • Winter Plantation Drive

    Winter Plantation Drive held in GDC Beerwah in which certain Dormant Angio and Gymnosperms were planted and transferred in the College Campus


  • LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP

    On 9th of March 2023 GDC Beerwah organised a Leadership Development Workshop for its students in Small Conference Room of the College. The program was organised by the Department of Social Work. The program was led by Mr. Nigel Heywood – a leadership trainer from Australia. The program was attended by the 52 students of different semester of the college.


  • INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY

    Govt. Degree College Beerwah celebrated International Women’s Day on 8th of March 2023. The theme of the program was #EmbraceEquity. As part of the celebration college organised a student debate on the topics of – Role and Space of Women in Innovation and Technology, and How Innovation and Technology has Contributed to Gender Equality.


  • Botanical Study Tour to Gulmarg Biosphere Reserve

    The Department of Botany is going to organize a botanical tour for 5th semester students in the month of July 2022. In this regard all the students are hereby informed to register themselves for the said event in the department of Botany.


  • EXHIBITION CUM REVIEW OF GANDHIAN LITERATURE

    Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated on 2nd October every year to mark the birth anniversary of Mohan Das Karamchand Gandhi, who was famously known as Mahatma Gandhi. In this milieu, College Library Committee in collaboration with Debates and Seminar committee of Govt. Degree College Beerwah, Budgam organized a Book Exhibition Event entitled “EXHIBITION CUM REVIEW OF GANDHIAN LITERATURE’’ on 24-09-2022, at 2:00 PM
