Inter College penchak Silat championship was conducted by the Department of Physical Education and Sports University of Kashmir in which Government Degree College Beerwah participated and one of our students got selected for All India Inter University Championship.

Government Degree College Beerwah participated in the inter college football tournament organised by department of physical education and sports University of Kashmir.

Inter college Table Tennis tournament for girls was conducted by University of Kashmir in which Government Degree College Beerwah participated.

Inter College Road Race was conducted by department of physical education and sports University of Kashmir in which Government Degree College Beerwah got first position (Gold Medal)

Annual College Road Race was conducted by the Department of Physical Education and Sports for Boys and girls, inwhich students from different semesters participated.

SVEEP Programme

Department of Physics in collaboration with Institution’s Innovation Council organized experiential learning tour to High Altitude Research Laboratory, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Gulmarg (HARL-BARC) on 25th April 2024.

UG 4th semester

As a part of exposure visit of students to collect the high altitude medicinal plants for extraction and separation purpose, Department of chemistry GDC Beerwah organised field trip of 25 students to forest range of thajwas glacier in the Sonmarg area on Saturday 29th of june 2024.

Under the banner of Gandhi Jayanti, the Debates and Seminar Committee in collaboration with College Library organized an event titled, “Starting/Augmenting of Gandhian gallery in College” on 30-09-2023. The event was participated by Faculty members and a number of students of the college

The Debates and Seminar Committee in collaboration with Library of the college organized a visit to public library having dedicated section to Mahtma Gandhi on 18-09-2023.

Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated yearly on 2 October. It is a national holiday, observed in all of its states and territories of the Union Of India. Gandhi Jayanti is marked by prayer services and tributes all over India, including at Gandhis memorial, Raj Ghat, in New Delhi where he was cremated.

We are thrilled to announce the upcoming "Digital J&K Week 2023," a week-long event dedicated to celebrating the strides made in the field of digital transformation and innovation in Jammu & Kashmir. This event is organized by Department of Computer Sciences in collaboration with NSS Wing of the College and is scheduled to take place from August 31st to September 6th, 2023, at Government Degree College Beerwah.

The Government is making efforts to provide the various opportunities to the eligible masses for employment in private sector through different ventures on timely bases. Today on the 13th of September 2022, the Department of Chemistry organized an extension lecture on Drug Abuse. On this occasion, Dr. Ali Mohammed Assistant Professor of Chemistry delivered an extensive lecture on drug abuse and its implications on society.

Join the National Level Conference on Social Protection for an Inclusive Development, organized by the Department of Social Work, GDC Beerwah in collaboration with ICSSR North Western-Regional Centre. The conference aims to explore the implementation and implications of social protection policies in India, and their role in reducing poverty and promoting economic and social development.

The department has scheduled Intra College Table Tennis Tournament for Faculty,Boys and Girls in the month of April 2023.

On 9th of March 2023 GDC Beerwah organised a Leadership Development Workshop for its students in Small Conference Room of the College. The program was organised by the Department of Social Work. The program was led by Mr. Nigel Heywood – a leadership trainer from Australia. The program was attended by the 52 students of different semester of the college.

Govt. Degree College Beerwah celebrated International Women’s Day on 8th of March 2023. The theme of the program was #EmbraceEquity. In this milieu, College Library Committee in collaboration with Debates and Seminar committee of Govt. Degree College Beerwah, Budgam organized a Book Exhibition Event entitled “EXHIBITION CUM REVIEW OF GANDHIAN LITERATURE’’ on 24-09-2022, at 2:00 PM
